From the hotly contested MPL Malaysia matches to the grand finals of The International Dota 2, 8mbets offers comprehensive esports coverage with competitive odds, real-time live betting, and instant deposits via local Malaysian e-wallets.
If you've ever found yourself glued to a screen at midnight just to catch an MPL Malaysia match or watch The International Dota 2 live stream, you already know how serious the esports community is in this country. Malaysia isn't just a passive spectator in the global esports arena — we have talented players who have made their mark on the international stage, a thriving local league scene, and a fanbase that is both passionate and deeply knowledgeable.
At 8mbets, we believe this community deserves a serious esports betting platform — not one that offers two or three game titles with bare-bones markets. We've invested in comprehensive coverage of every major esports tournament that matters to the Malaysian community. Mobile Legends Bang Bang (MLBB) through the MPL Malaysia league, Dota 2 with The International and DPC League, CS2 at the Major Championship, Valorant Champions Tour, League of Legends Worlds, and PUBG Mobile Global Championship all receive full coverage at 8mbets.
What sets esports betting apart from conventional sports like football or cricket? First, esports events run almost every day of the year with no lengthy off-seasons. Second, Malaysia's esports community tends to follow their favourite teams and players closely — which means there's real opportunity to put that knowledge to use when making smarter betting calls. Third, match formats like Bo3 (Best of 3) and Bo5 (Best of 5) create a variety of interesting markets that simply don't exist in traditional sports.
8mbets understands all of this and delivers an esports betting experience built specifically for Malaysian fans — not a product recycled from overseas markets.
Full coverage of the most popular esports titles in Malaysia
MLBB is the most popular esports title in Malaysia. The MPL Malaysia league pits the top local teams against each other every week. 8mbets offers full coverage including series winner markets, map handicap, first blood, and player statistics.
The International is the world's highest prize pool esports tournament. Southeast Asian teams — including those from Malaysia and Singapore — regularly compete at the highest level. 8mbets offers extensive markets from the group stage all the way through to the grand final.
CS2 is one of the longest-running and most popular FPS titles for betting. Its detailed match format — featuring weapon economy, pistol rounds, and force buys — creates highly dynamic markets that shift with every round.
Valorant is growing rapidly across Asia Pacific, with APAC teams like Paper Rex from Singapore regularly competing on the world stage. The VCT APAC League has become a focal point for Malaysian esports fans, and 8mbets delivers comprehensive betting markets to match.
The LoL Worlds Championship is among the most-watched esports events globally every year. While Malaysian teams do not compete directly, matches from China's LPL and Korea's LCK are hugely popular with local esports fans.
PUBG Mobile remains a massively popular battle royale title in Malaysia. The PMPL SEA (PUBG Mobile Pro League Southeast Asia) brings together the best teams from across the region, including Malaysian representatives competing for spots at the global PMGC.
Full coverage of all major esports tournaments — ongoing and upcoming
Esports fans have one major advantage over traditional sports followers — they typically know the games they watch at a much deeper level. Someone who has played MLBB for three years and followed MPL Malaysia every week has a thorough understanding of the current meta, each team's strengths and weaknesses, individual player styles, and how patch changes can influence match outcomes. That knowledge, applied wisely, can be a meaningful edge when making more informed betting decisions.
At 8mbets, we welcome knowledgeable players by offering markets deep enough to explore. It goes well beyond "which team wins" — we cover first blood, first tower, map handicap, total kills in a game, and much more. This gives players who truly understand esports the chance to make the most of what they know.
For Malaysian players, MPL (Mobile Legends Professional League) Malaysia holds a special place in the heart of local esports. Each season, eight of Malaysia's top teams compete in a league format before heading into the playoffs, where Malaysia's representative to the global M-Series Championship is decided. Teams like NOVA Esports, Bleed Esports, Team HAQ, and several others have become household names within the community.
At 8mbets, MPL Malaysia coverage is among the most comprehensive available. Weekly matches held over the weekend receive full attention, with odds available several days before each match kicks off. During live play, live betting lets you wager as the game unfolds — when your favourite team starts to dominate or comes under pressure, the odds shift accordingly, and that's your window to act.
One of the most popular markets during MPL Malaysia at 8mbets is the "Match MVP" market — betting on the individual player who will be named best performer. This requires a solid understanding of specific players' playstyles and performance records. For those who follow the league closely, value bets can be found here, especially when a lesser-known player is in peak form for the season.
Live betting on esports is a far more dynamic experience than live betting on most traditional sports. In an MLBB match, for instance, the situation can shift dramatically in under a minute — a single successful teamfight can completely swing the momentum of the entire game. In CS2, winning a pistol round can hand a team a significant economic advantage that shapes the rounds ahead.
8mbets is built to keep up with that pace. Our platform processes odds changes quickly and displays live match conditions in real time — game scores, objective counts, surviving team compositions, and other relevant data. No need to switch to another tab to stay informed — everything you need to make a betting decision is in one place.
One important thing to understand about live esports betting: because the action moves so fast, 8mbets encourages players to set a session betting limit before starting any live betting session. The excitement of the moment can lead to impulsive bets without proper analysis — discipline is the key to enjoying this experience over the long run.
Most professional esports matches use a Best of 3 (Bo3) or Best of 5 (Bo5) format. This means a team must win 2 out of 3 games (Bo3) or 3 out of 5 games (Bo5) to take the overall match. This format creates layers of betting markets that simply don't exist in single-game formats.
At 8mbets, you can bet on the overall series winner (the team that wins 2-0 or 2-1 in a Bo3), or you can bet on the winner of each individual game within the series. If you think Team A starts the series weaker but grows stronger heading into the deciding game, you can tailor your betting strategy around that read.
Handicap markets are also particularly interesting in this context — for example, if one team is considered significantly stronger, 8mbets may offer a -1.5 game handicap, meaning that team must win 2-0 (not 2-1) for your handicap bet to pay out. This is a useful way to find better value compared to simply betting on the outright winner, which may carry very low odds.
Malaysia has a proud history in global esports. Malaysian teams and players have made their mark across multiple titles over the years. In MLBB especially, Malaysia ranks among the strongest nations in Southeast Asia, regularly sending representatives to the semi-finals and finals of the M-Series. This fuels strong local interest in international tournaments whenever Malaysian teams are involved.
Whenever Malaysian teams compete at international tournaments such as the M-Series or PMGC, 8mbets ensures full coverage is available with odds that reflect the passion and support of local fans. We know how much these moments mean to the Malaysian esports community, and we're here to share in the excitement with you.

Malaysia's esports ecosystem is growing at a rapid pace. From secondary schools forming their own esports teams to universities offering gaming-related programmes, and a government that has officially recognised esports as a legitimate sport — Malaysia is moving into an era where esports is no longer just a hobby, but a serious career path and industry.
8mbets wants to be part of this journey. We are not just a betting platform that happens to have an esports section — we genuinely understand and value this community. We listen to feedback from local players about which markets they want, which tournaments deserve more coverage, and how the esports betting experience can be improved for Malaysian users.
The result is a platform that feels purpose-built for Malaysian players — not a foreign product that's simply been translated. The language used, the way markets are explained, and customer support that operates in Bahasa Malaysia all reflect 8mbets' commitment to the local community.
One thing that sets 8mbets apart from other platforms is our approach to responsible betting, particularly within the esports context. The Malaysian esports community is largely made up of young, enthusiastic players — and we see this as an added responsibility to ensure that betting remains a safe and enjoyable form of entertainment.
At 8mbets, you can set daily deposit limits, weekly betting limits, and monthly loss limits directly from your account settings. If you feel you need a break, the "Temporary Pause" option lets you suspend your account for a duration you choose. Our customer support team is also trained to recognise and assist players who may be experiencing issues related to their betting habits.
The 8mbets platform is strictly for users aged 18 and above.
